Recipe Green Beans Lemon Almonds
Deselect all 1 2 ounce package sliced almonds found on baking aisle 1 pound green beans trimmed 1 tablespoon butter 1 2 lemon juiced salt and pepper.
Recipe green beans lemon almonds. Add the sliced almonds and sauté for 30 to 60 seconds until just warmed. Turn down heat slightly if they re close to burning. Stir in the lemon juice and finely grated lemon zest.
Cook stirring for 2 minutes or until light golden. Add in chopped almonds and toss with butter. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Cook for 1 2 minutes more tossing frequently until garlic is fragrant and the green beans are golden brown and tender. Sauté briefly gently tossing the green beans with the almond mixture until evenly combined and the green beans are tender. Add garlic and sauté 1 minute or until golden.
Stir in lemon juice and salt. Sauté 4 minutes or until beans are thoroughly heated. Add the beans and toss to combine.
Stir in green beans lemon rind salt and pepper. Toss beans in oil and melted butter. Remove from the heat.
Drain beans and return pan to heat. Cook green beans in boiling salted water until tender then drain and cool under running water. Add salt to taste.
