Cook on medium low heat until it is melted and has mixed well about 10 minutes. Whisk in the flour and cook for a minute or two. Try an egg yolk.
It will only make the sauce cheesier and more delicious so go for it. In the meantime fill a large pot with water place on high and bring to a boil. Add the butter to the bacon grease in the skillet and cook until the butter is melted.
Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Stir in heavy cream parmesan and salt and pepper to melted butter. Use enough of the pasta so that all of the sauce is used and the pasta is thoroughly coated.
