Green Tomatoes Jelly Recipe
Add 1 6 ounce package jello any flavor.
Green tomatoes jelly recipe. Place the tomato pieces in a large nonreactive pot with a heavy bottom. Zest the lemon and keep the zest refrigerated in a small bowl with a small amount of lemon juice to keep it hydrated. Add the sugar and juice of half the lemon to the tomatoes.
Combine green tomatoes sugar raspberries and jalapeno peppers together in a saucepan. Boil tomatoes and sugar together for 15 minutes. Cook and stir until sugar is dissolved and raspberries and tomatoes are broken down about 15 minutes.
Add the rest of the sugar then cook 25 30 minutes. Process or blend into a puree. Add review or comment.
Add the lemon zest and juice cinnamon and allspice and salt well. Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes. Pour the puree and sugar into a large pot over medium high heat.
Squeeze juice from the lemons then slice and cover with water for 24 hours. Combine tomatoes lemons and ginger then bring to a boil and cook until mixture begins to thicken. Pour in jelly glasses and let cool.
Refrigerate up to 3 weeks. Cook the above 15 minutes. Cool before covering with lids.
