Lemon Bars Original Recipe

In another bowl whisk together the remaining 1 1 2 cups sugar and 1 4 cup flour. After baking the crust for 20 minutes the bright sugary mixture of lemon juice flour. On low speed slowly stir in lemon juice just until combined.

In a large mixing bowl using a handheld or stand mixer fitted with a whisk or paddle attachment mix eggs sugar and lemon zest on medium speed until creamy and sugar is completely dissolved about 2 3 minutes add flour and mix just until incorporated. While the crust is baking prepare the filling. For filling in a small bowl beat eggs.
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Bake 20 22 minutes or until light brown. Cover a 9x13 in metal baking pan with heavy duty aluminum foil see note below.
