Add the whole onion carrots celery garlic rosemary bundle and bay leaf.

Put your noodles of choice into the crock pot and set on high. Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours. Transfer chicken to cutting board.
In a slow cooker combine chicken onion carrots celery thyme rosemary garlic and bay leaf and season generously with salt and pepper. Cover with lid and cook on low or high 20 minutes. Return chicken to soup to serve.
To the bottom of a 6 quart or larger slow cooker add the chicken breasts. Place the chicken back into the slow cooker.
