Recipe Green Beans With Bacon
Heat oil in a skillet over low heat.
Recipe green beans with bacon. In a covered saucepan cook beans in a small amount of water for 20 25 minutes or until tender. Meanwhile in a skillet cook bacon until crisp. Add beans to drippings.
While the water is heating up to boil the beans slowly cook the bacon until crispy in a large sauté pan set over medium low heat. Heat a pot of salted water to a rolling boil 1 tablespoon salt for 2 quarts of water. Once it is cooked remove it from the pan.
Add the cooked bacon and butter. Add beans to bacon mixture. Bring to a boil.
Crumble bacon and set aside. Sprinkle with pepper and seasoned salt. Drain the green beans well and then add them to the skillet.
Remove bacon reserving drippings. Step 1 boil the green beans. Toss the green beans into a large pot of boiling salted water and cook until bright green in color and crisp tender about 5 minutes.
Toss well and heat until the green beans are thoroughly coated and hot. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Boil for about 8 to 12 minutes or until the desired doneness is reached.
