Once boiling reduce to a simmer and add the kale artichokes and the liquid from the whole tomatoes. Increase heat to high and then bring the ingredients to a boil. Cover and bring to a boil.
Raise heat and bring the mixture to a boil then partially cover the pot and reduce the heat to maintain a gentle simmer. Stir to combine all ingredients. Reduce heat to low and let simmer uncovered for approximately 20 minutes until the legumes are tender.
