Recipe Lentil Soup With Ham Bone
Cover the pot and bring the soup to a boil.
Recipe lentil soup with ham bone. Cover and simmer until lentils and vegetables are tender 30 40 minutes. Cover and bring to a boil. Add the lentils and simmer approximately 45 min.
Bring to a boil. Remove the ham bone. Set aside to cool.
In a dutch oven bring ham bone and water to a boil. Step 2 stir celery carrots green bell pepper onion marjoram and bay leaf into broth and simmer until lentils and vegetables are tender 10 to 20 minutes. To 1 hour until lentils are tender.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 45 minutes to 1 hour or until the lentils are tender. Put the ham bone carrots water lentils celery onion sugar pepper salt and bay leaf in a pot. Cover and simmer for 1 1 2 hours.
Stir chicken broth water carrots celery onion lentils garlic and red wine vinegar together in a large stockpot. To broth add the lentils tomatoes carrots celery onions and seasonings. Place ham bone in boiling broth reduce heat to medium low and stir in lentils.
When cool enough to handle remove any meat and cut into bite size pieces. Place the ham bone in a stockpot or dutch oven. Meanwhile remove ham from bone.
