Sprinkle over the top of the macaroni and cauliflower mixture. Reduce heat to medium and add oil to the pasta pot. Add cauliflower and macaroni.
Spread the mixture into a large wide gratin dish. Gradually add the milk stirring all the time to get a smooth sauce. Mix in pasta cauliflower mixture cheddar cheese sour cream milk and dijon mustard.
