Recipe Mashed Potatoes And Spinach
Return potatoes to pot and mash until almost smooth.
Recipe mashed potatoes and spinach. Place the potatoes in a saucepan and cover with water. And parmesan and beat until well mixed in. Add sour cream salt pepper and butter if desired.
Drain cool slightly and mash. Five minutes before they are done add the spinach and continue cooking until the potatoes are soft and the spinach wilted and cooked. Place potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water.
Sometimes i also mix a bit of the cheese in with the potatoes before topping. Transfer to the prepared casserole dish. In a bowl mix the spinach mashed potatoes butter sour cream onion salt and dill.
Grease a 2 quart casserole dish. Add butter and stir until melted. Mix in enough milk to bring it to your favorite mashed potato consistency.
Stir spinach into warm cream tossing to coat and when slightly wilted after about 1 minute immediately add to potatoes. Place in casserole dish and top with grated cheddar cheese. Peel and cut potatoes into 8 sections.
Meanwhile cook spinach in a small amount of water until wilted. Add water to completely cover potatoes. Cook until fork tender then drain out water.
