Recipe For Mashed Potato Rolls
Line a 13x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease.
Recipe for mashed potato rolls. Place in a greased bowl turning once to grease top. Turn the dough the out onto lightly floured surface and cut into 16 to 20 equal pieces. Slowly add in the cream and continue to whisk with the electric mixer.
Towards the end of the rising time preheat the oven to 350 f. Beat at medium speed until smooth. Knead until smooth and elastic about 6 8 minutes.
Add milk butter oil sugar egg and mashed potatoes. Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix with the dough hook for 1 minute on medium speed. Beat on high speed for 3 minutes.
In small mixing bowl combine warm water potatoes butter sugar and salt. Place in a greased bowl turning once to grease the top. Since i didn t particularly want sweet rolls i did use the 2 tablespoons of sugar in the yeast part but i completely eliminated the sugar in the next part eggs etc.
Add yeast mixture and egg. In a bowl dissolve yeast in water. Stir in remaining 2 cups flour to make a soft dough.
Cover the pan with lightly greased plastic wrap and let them rise for 1 1 2 to 2 hours until they re quite puffy. Using an electric hand mixer add in the butter and whisk until melted and incorporated into the potatoes. Round each ball into a smooth roll.
