Roasted Garlic Hummus Recipe
Place garlic cloves on a small piece of foil and lightly drizzle with 1 teaspoon olive oil.
Roasted garlic hummus recipe. Add chickpeas roasted garlic lemon juice tahini and a little cold water to the food processor. What makes it stand out is the roasted garlic. Remove and allow to cool.
If hummus is too thick simply add olive oil in small increments 1 2 teaspoon until desired consistency. Remove from heat and let cool briefly then peel. We love it at our house.
It is great served on pita bread pita chips veggies wraps crackers sandwiches and more. Add half the garlic the caramelized onion chickpeas tahini 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil lemon juice and salt to a food processor or high powered blender. Coat with a little olive oil and wrap securely in tin foil.
Peel and transfer to the bowl of a food processor. This recipe is a variation of my classic hummus recipe. Bake in heated oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until the garlic is very soft.
Roast garlic in oven for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 230 degrees c. Then add in salt cumin olive oil and a little more cold water and process until smooth and creamy.
Do not skip the citric acid. Preheat oven to 375 f cut off the very top of the garlic clove about 1 4 so that the tops of most of the cloves are exposed slightly. Roasted garlic gives such amazing flavor.
