Grilled Lamb Chops Recipe Oven
Season with salt and pepper then place them on the highest shelf of the oven to bake.
Grilled lamb chops recipe oven. Wrap the exposed ends of the bones with aluminium foil to keep them from burning. Over medium high heat heat a skillet for 2 3 minutes and add the olive oil. Pre heat your oven at 140 degrees.
Add lamb toss until coated and marinate in refrigerator for 2 hours. First of all place the lamb chops in a shallow roasting tin with the onion tucked around them. When hot sear your lamb chops until deep brown on all sides about 4 or 5 minutes per side.
Remove the lamb chops to a plate and cover with foil. Remove lamb from the marinade and leave any onions on that stick to the meat. Heat a grill pan over high heat until almost smoking add the chops and sear for about 2 minutes.
Cover with a cling film for 30 45 mins. For medium rare look for internal temperature of 125 f. Grease your baking tray n arrange your chops.
Discard any remaining marinade. Flip the chops over and cook for another 3 minutes for medium rare and 3 1 2 minutes for medium. Sear the lamb chops for 1 2 minutes on each side.
Heat a little vegetable oil in a dutch oven or large oven ready skillet with a tight fitting lid over high heat. Transfer the skillet to the oven. How long you cook them for is up to you i personally don t mind the centres being cooked since i like the skins crisp but if you like your lamb pink give them 30 minutes if not 45 minutes.
