Place in a large pot and cover with cold water.

Add in the potatoes and boil until they are fork tender about 12 15 minutes. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer until tender about 15 minutes. Step 7 out of 7 stir jalapeños cheddar and chili powder into the potatoes.
