Recipe Green Beans With Almonds
Bring to a boil.
Recipe green beans with almonds. Put olive oil shallots garlic cloves and some salt in a frying pan then cook gently for about 8 mins until soft but not brown. I cooked my bacon separately cooled and crumbled it. I tossed the almonds in a little of the bacon grease and toasted them in the oven at 350 for about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and add on top of the green beans. Add oil and butter pat to the pan. Meanwhile in a small skillet over low heat toast almonds in butter.
Garnish green beans with toasted slivered or sliced almonds. Add onion and garlic and saute until golden brown. Stir in lemon juice and salt.
Remove from the heat. Place beans in a large saucepan and cover with water. Add green beans and cook slowly until hot.
I cooked my green beans in water until crisp tender drained them and tossed them in a little more of the bacon grease. Remove the green beans from heat and sprinkle with grated parmesan in the same skillet used to cook the green beans add the marcona almonds and toast them until golden brown about 5 6 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Tip in the beans and a grind of pepper toss well then warm through. Cook green beans in boiling salted water until tender then drain and cool under running water. Season beans with a little salt and transfer to a serving plate.
