In a saucepan saute mushrooms in butter until softened. Line a baking sheet with parchment and preheat the oven to 375. Cook and stir until thickened about 2 minutes.
Cook until golden brown and a thermometer inserted into meat loaf reads 160 18 22 minutes. Bring to a boil. Mix all the ingredients well.
Remove from the heat and set aside. Meanwhile warm remaining sauce over low heat. Gradually add the cream.
If desired brush with beaten egg. Stir in flour and 1 8 teaspoon pepper until blended.
