Recipe Green Beans Bacon Onion
Add the olive oil bacon and onions and cook until the onion is soft about 5 to 10 minutes.
Recipe green beans bacon onion. Stir in reserved bacon and pepper before serving. The bacon and onion mixture is given even more flavor when cider vinegar is stirred in. Start frying over medium heat until you get some of the bacon grease oozing out.
Saute onion in drippings until tender. In a large skillet cook bacon over medium heat until crisp stirring occasionally. Stir in the green beans and chicken stock.
Cook your green beans according to package directions. Pour off all but 1 tablespoon drippings. Place beans in a large bowl of ice water for 5 minutes.
This recipe comes together very quickly and holds well when covered in foil in a warming drawer on in a crock pot on keep warm. When done drain them and pour into a bowl. Add green beans to a pot of boiling water and cook for 4 minutes.
Remove with a slotted spoon. Meanwhile place beans in a large saucepan. Add water to cover.
Drain on paper towels. The green beans cook for 6 8 minutes in boiling water at the same time the bacon is frying and the onion is being cooked. Bring to a boil.
