Key Lime Pie Recipe Eagle Brand
Crust 1 1 4 cup graham cracker crumbs 2 tablespoon sugar 5 tablespoon butter melted filling 2 14 oz can eagle brand sweetened condensed milk 2 3 cup fresh lime juice 1 3 cup sour cream 2 teaspoon lime zest topping 1 2 pint 1 cup heavy whipping cream 1 4 cup powdered sugar 1 2 teaspoon.
Key lime pie recipe eagle brand. Beat with a mixer at high speed until light and fluffy about 5 minutes. 2 or 3 drops green food coloring. I did make a few changes to the recipe after reading the reviews.
Bake 10 minutes or until crust begins to brown. Cool for a couple of hours before refrigerating. Stir in the key lime juice and put the filling.
Press mixture into bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie plate to form crust. 1 9 inch unbaked pie crust. Whisk together egg yolks sweetened condensed milk lime juice and food colouring if desired.
Add melted butter and stir until evenly moistened. Stir in food coloring if using. Increase oven temperature to 350 f.
Cool slightly and then refrigerate. Being a floridian i have had my share of both very good and very bad key lime pie. Gradually beat eagle brand and lime juice.
Pour mixture into the crust. Pour into pastry shell. Bake in preheated oven for about 15 minutes to cook the eggs.
