Jerk Chicken Recipe Using Paste
Bring to a boil reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream.

Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste. Nb for a variation try adding a little dark rum to the mix and double the sugar using brown instead of table sugar. Blend ingredients in a food processor or grind into a paste.
1 cup corn kernels. 1 cup red kidney beans. Heat the oven to 200c 180c fan gas 6 and boil 150ml water in the kettle.
Cup chopped coriander. In a food processor combine the onion scallions chiles garlic five spice powder allspice pepper thyme nutmeg and salt. Step 2 slash the chicken thighs down to the bone a couple of times then smear over the jerk paste.
1 combine the garlic scallions thyme chile ginger vinegar water brown sugar allspice and nutmeg in a blender or food processor and pulse into a fine paste. Place the chicken on a baking tray with the lime wedges if using and cook in the oven for 20 mins. Add the kumara and red kidney beans bringing to a simmer until the kumara is just soft.
